Musical Link: The Tales of a Music Prodigy

Overview

The story takes place in a modern Hyrule alternate universe in which it is in a school setting, but not just any school. It is a music institution, also known as the Hyrule Musical Institute. Every student has some music talent, ranging from sopranos to playing instruments. Here we are, with our protagonist, Link, a musical prodigy, who attends this massive school filled with dorms and facilities that accommodate a wide range of students from all over Hyrule.

Characters:

Link: A lazy 15-year old Hylian student who has a wide range of musical talents. He can play almost any instrument that are made for Hylians, but struggles with those made for the Dekus, Gorons and Zoras. He doesn’t know how to study properly, and needs help from his best friend Saria to help tutor him. One of his weakest subjects is history, so he would try to cheat with his companion Shiek and try to get answers in order to pass. Due to his inflated hubris from over reliance on his natural talents, Link would consequently underestimate other tasks and humiliate himself. However, he can be very tactical in his approach to problems when he concentrates against his opponents, such as music challenges, sports and the dungeons. Link’s fairy guide is named Navi.

Saria: A 15-year old Hylian student who works in the Student Government as the School President. She is one of Link’s most trusted friends and his major childhood friend. Since she is loaded with student government tasks and other duties, she sometimes leaves Link to take care of his studies himself. However, due to his poor study habits, Saria has to help tutor him and teach him how to study, no matter how much he tries to slack from them. She is also very intelligent and clever with her tasks and always saves time to help Link with his homework as well as join social events at the school. Saria has three fairy guides and an official position in distributing fairies for newcomers. She also has an intense interest in the extinct Kokiris and their mystical history.

Navi: A fairy guide who helps students get around and prevent them from getting into mischief. Navi gets annoyed with Link’s attempts on sneaking out of the school with Shiek. She sometimes snaps at Link to listen to her and give him tips that might seem helpful, regardless of actual practicality.

Shiek: A 15-year old Hylian student who always seem to get in trouble around the school. However, due to his relative flexibility and his tactics sneaking around the school at night, he knows some secrets and the mysteries that his fellow peers do not. He will give information, even a trip into the dungeons with him at night, but at the cost of rupees. The harder the information is to get, the more expensive the price. Link apparently is his best customer, who always has enough rupees for Shiek to take him on missions at night and give him test answers. Because of how mysterious and intimidating he appears to be, other students believe that Shiek is merely a rumor and does not exist. Shiek manages not to get expelled or kicked out due to his connections in the school, especially with Impa. He currently does not have a fairy guide.

Zelda: A perky 15-year old Hylian student who is popular among her Hylian peers due to her skills, intelligence and beauty. She is related as one of the School Principal’s daughters and her high status gives her even more popularity in the school. Zelda sometimes have some power play tensions with Saria because of her merit than her heritage. She also inherited the Ocarina of Time from her parents and occasionally enjoys showing it off. Zelda has a fairy guide.

I know I got alot to learn from everyone but seems like I can still improve and allow myself to fail more as well as college coursework....soo yah. ^^;

PS: Eventually, I'll start to experiment and spam some Link comics for once ///sigh ( my anatomy feels degraded than before eh)

Truth

3 min read
In the society that we lived in today, the world is saturated with propaganda. Also, people also blindly believe and follow whatever suits them. Not saying that it is a bad thing, but it can be inflated to the point of insanity.

Really?

With the emphasis on a person's feelings nowadays, people sure seem to use it as an excuse to make themselves seem so special and unique. Of course, everyone IS unique since we all got different experiences and backgrounds. However, we are not that unique to the extend that we are perfect and can judge. ( perfect in itself is a vague term. What is perfection?)

The world does not care about you, only what it wants from you.
Fantasy and dreams do not change reality, it only changes your perception of reality. ( So don't think that just because you THINK you are affecting reality is either that you're accepting it or denying it)

Also with the common sugarcoated fluff people throw at you because it just SOUNDS better?

"Be yourself" ( What do you mean by yourself? Your spirit? Your humanity? Your desires? Your dreams? Also, how can you be yourself if you always put on your poker face in public anyway? ex. someone loves to kill things, and is being "him or herself" because it's their calling.)

"No matter what, someone will always see you as ________ no matter how much you say you aren't!" ( Contradictory much? So you're basically saying that others decide who you are despite you ignoring it? Really? It's all about outer appearances anyhow. We don't know nor care about each other to that extent as well as being judgmental human beings)

With the truth, the person either denies it or accepts it.

The truth can be harsh and brutal as well as strange. Some people ignore it because it doesn't fall under their vision of the truth, which is more like one side of a circle or one narrow view. Denying or ignoring it will not change the truth. Same with whining and complaining. You aren't special and so am I.

I may be making a statement, but I am not as more superior or better than any other human being here.
I may not be right as well, but it's only my view of things.
Misusing words and phrases while not understanding the definition doesn't make you sound any smarter than you think.

Sure I'm giving you the same old things just as any other person would, but just because it's old doesn't make it any less important or stupid.

Reality is a lot different than you think, and it sure isn't pretty.
